Metamorphosis Butoh

  • What: Choreographed by Argentinian artist Gustavo Collini-Sartor, Metamorphosis Butoh explores the spirit of death and rebirth, a recurring theme in the Japanese aesthetic of Butoh. Inspired by the work of Kazuo Ohno, co-founder of Butoh, this dance stems from the premise that transformation is essential to the continuum of life and personal growth.

Pizza Palooza

  • What: At the 3rd annual Pizza Palooza you’ll get the chance to taste many types of pizza from Neapolitan to Roman to NY style, South Indian, Lebanese and more. Each participating restaurant will be serving up grub for guests to enjoy and you will have a chance to visit many different types of restaurants throughout the event, meet some new food loving friends, meet the chefs, and learn about each of the participating restaurants.

The press release states: “Reflecting on the divisions that persist in today’s world…[Romeo + Juliet] will offer a thought-provoking contemporary take of the classic that profoundly resonates today.”

Rainbow Mixer 2018

  • What: Catfé is hosting a Rainbow Mixer speed dating event for LGBTQ+ folks, featuring ice-breaking games and cuddling with cats. Proceeds raised from the event will go towards the BCSPCA through the National Cupcake Day drive initiative.
