Happy Halloween, everyone! Dress up and check out Fright Nights, After Hours at Vancouver Aquarium, and these seven events on October 31 in Vancouver.

Fright Nights at Playland

What: Fright Nights are returning to Playland this October, bringing hauntings, horror, and hair-raising rides to Vancouver for another year. Visitors can expect eight haunted houses, live shows and performances, and 20 rides. Playland’s newest haunted house, “The Bloodshed,” will also be making a return.

As far as food and beverages go, expect all of Playland’s beloved offerings, as well as several pumpkin spice-themed options, including pumpkin spice mini donuts, kettle corn, and candy floss. The park’s Tipsy Unicorn drink, which was notoriously popular during Playland Nights and the Fair at the PNE, will also be making a return.

Trick or Treat in Yaletown

What: The 20th Annual Trick or Treat in Yaletown features the Antique Horse Carriage and the Doom Dome at Bill Curtis Square on Mainland Street, as well as Yaletown merchants handing out treats to children. Costumes are highly recommended.

Halloween on the Heights

What: Families are invited to dress up and go trick or treating down Hastings Street. Children and their accompanying adults will be able to get yummy treats from neighbourhood stores.

After-Hours: Halloween Edition at the Vancouver Aquarium

What: Be surrounded by goblin sharks, skeleton shrimp, bloodworms, and vampire squid, at After-Hours: Halloween Edition at the Vancouver Aquarium. Dress up in costume for the adults-only event and enjoy costume and trivia contests, watch A Reef Reborn: 4D, dance to a live DJ, and more. The Aquarium will also be offering a free shuttle from the Aquarium to Canada Place to help you get home safely via transit.

Halloween Fireworks at McLean Park

What: Hamilton Community Association presents Halloween Fireworks, along with a trick or treat station and hot chocolate on the corner of McLean and McRae beforehand.

When: October 31, 2019
Time: 7 to 8:30 pm. Fireworks at 8:15 pm
Where: Mclean Park, Richmond
Admission: Free

Anmore Manor Haunted House

What: Anmore Man has been a local neighbourhood scare for the past seven years. Visitors are invited to step inside the home and partake in a number of handmade decorations, horror scenes, and terrifying live actors.

When: Now until October 31, 2019
Time: 7 to 10:30 pm
Where: 1151 Robin Way, Anmore
Admission: By donation to the Share Society, cash or non-perishable food items

Halloween on The Drive

What: Bring the family for trick-or-treating along Commercial Drive between Venables and 13th, face-painting, caricature artist and balloon twisting in the Kids Fun Zone, and cap off Halloween with fireworks in Grandview Park.
