Celebrate Halloween at this adults-only event at the Vancouver Aquarium

Oct 10 2019, 8:55 pm

If you’re somewhat tired of the usual tricks or treats that Halloween offers and and are looking for something a little more immersive, this after-hours event at the Vancouver Aquarium might be just what you’re looking for.

And with the opportunity to be surrounded goblin sharks, skeleton shrimp, bloodworms, and vampire squid, it’s a given that this adults-only event is one of the city’s most unique Halloween offerings.

Dress yourself up (or come as you are) and wander the galleries – cocktail in hand – scouting out slithery snakes, spiky sea urchins and potentially hungry piranhas.

Hunker down in the darkness and watch A Reef Reborn: 4D. Revisit (and reassess) your fear of sharks as you listen to an interpretive talk about these cartilaginous creatures of the deep. Do the Monster Mash, whether or not our DJ spins the tune that goes with it.

And for those who choose to imbibe in Halloween spirits of the liquid variety,  the Aquarium will also be offering a free shuttle from the Aquarium to Canada Place to help you get home safely via transit.
