Art Vancouver 2019

Cibo Wine Dinner Series: Wines of Northern Italy

LOOPDALOOP

What: Over the course of 2018, members of Iris Film Collective participated in individual month-long residencies to each create a 16mm film loop installation with a view to pushing the boundaries of 16mm film and projection. The result is LOOPDALOOP, an immersive rotating month-long exhibition taking place at their Burrard View Park Fieldhouse residency space, as a part of the Capture Photography Festival’s Selected Exhibits.

What: Canada’s largest alternative literary festival, Verses Festival of Words, is back for a ninth year of programming celebrating a broad intersection of poetic artists, including spoken word and page poets, storytellers, singer-songwriters, improvisers, and more.

4 1/2 (ig)noble truths

What: 4 1⁄2 (ig)noble truths is Thomas McKechnie’s deeply personal attempt to articulate his experience living with clinical depression. Initially framed as a matter-of-fact lecture, when this method falls short he uses objects, poetry, sound and action to offer 4 ½ totally useful pieces of advice for battling depression.
