2nd Annual Richmond Cherry Blossom Festival

  • What: The festival, situated right beside the Fraser River, includes a day full of traditional Japanese music, dance performances, as well as traditional Japanese food and activities. Two stages at the festival will be dedicated to traditional Japanese dance, Taiko drumming, and feature a number of talented musicians. As expected, there will be plenty of space to sit and eat by the cherry blossom trees.

Family Day at PdA

Fate 2: The Dance and Illusions of Oslen

  • What: The fairground will have all your favourite and most nostalgic carnival rides, many of them which you’ll remember from being end-of-summer classics at the Fair at the PNE. Rides vary from childhood favourites like the Ferris wheel, merry-go-round, and bumper cars, as well as faster, more intense rides to get your adrenaline pumping.

Stand Up For Mental Health 2018 Spring Class Debut

  • What: Founded by the award-winning counsellor and stand-up comic David Granirer, Stand Up For Mental Health teaches stand-up comedy to people with mental health issues. This show takes a hilarious look at the lighter side of taking meds, dealing with addictions, seeing counsellors, getting diagnosed, and surviving the mental health system. This show features Granirer, the 2018 spring class, and psychiatrist Judy Allen.

Historic Walking Tours – Hudson’s Bay Company Farm

  • What: Join a costumed guide for a walk through the town of Fort Langley. You will discover how the land would have looked outside the walls, and what major changes have affected the landscape of the neighbourhood. Tours are included with site admission.

OriginO Kids’ Koncerts – Magic Circle Mime Co.

  • What: Three meddlesome spirits – Music, Noise and Silence – invade the Orpheum. The concert seems doomed as Silence and Noise attempt to seize control of the orchestra. Only with the help of the audience, and Music, will the conductor be able to break the fierce grip of Noise and bring harmony back to the orchestra. Featuring William Rowson as the conductor.
