Science World After Dark: Bloody Science

Science World
What: Science World is transforming into a spooky playground for Science World After Dark: Bloody Science. Check out exciting performances by Neil E. Dee and his Danger Thrill Show, filled with sword swallowing and sideshow stunts.
There will also be hands-on forensic experiments, blood-based criminology demos, themed drinks, and more. Costumes are highly encouraged, though make sure you follow Science World’s costume policy for a safe and inclusive night.

Dead Fellows Haunted Brewhouse
What: For Halloween, East Vancouver’s Strange Fellows Brewing is transforming into a haunted brewhouse and brave souls are invited to take a self-guided tour through a “full-blown, walk-through Haunted House experience” filled with surprises, special effects, and frights.

Latin American Heritage Month Festival
What: The Latin American Heritage Month Festival 2025, produced by Latincouver and presented by Don Chendo, celebrates the diversity, art, and traditions of Latin America across Vancouver and Burnaby.
Running until Nov. 2, this year’s festival features over 30 cultural events, including music, dance, art exhibitions, workshops, and more. Most events are by donation to encourage community participation and accessibility. Select events and performances are ticketed, with prices starting at $10.
Highlights include Day of the Dead Granville Island on Nov. 1 and 2. There will also be a Catrina Procession, Day of the Dead Market, and a Catrina Party on Granville Island on Saturday, Nov. 1.

SHOCK 6 Halloween at Good Co. Granville
What: Granville’s biggest Halloween party returns for their annual scream along session at Good Co. Granville. Head to Vancouver’s biggest haunted house bar with candy, costume prizes, music, and more.

La Mariée: Bridal Runway

La Mariée
What: La Mariée: Bridal Runway is the first of its kind in Vancouver, created to offer something beyond the traditional bridal fairs.
The fashion-forward evening combines modern bridal couture, a runway showcase, live string quartet, and fine dining. What: Halloween’s on a Friday this year, and you and your crew are invited to Hero’s Welcome for a special Talladega Nights party.
Get ready for a no-cover night of NASCAR, beer, pizza, and chaos. Costumes are optional but appreciated. There will be Miller High Life mixed with Aperol (aka Speghett or NASCAR Spritz) served, and DJ Darth Brooks will be playing live from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
And bring the little ones by early for trick-or-treating from 3 to 6 p.m.

What: Follow the Yellow Brick Road to Capilano Mall for Wickedly Wonderful Trick-or-Treating on Friday, Oct. 31.
From 3 to 5 p.m. on Halloween, the Grand Court comes alive with a live DJ, photo opportunities with Elphaba, Glinda, and Fiyero for magical photos, and trick-or-treating at stores marked with a spooky decal while supplies last.

Rabbit Festival
What: Rabbit Festival 2025, the ultimate celebration of everything rabbits, is happening on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Scottish Cultural Centre in Vancouver.
The family-friendly event is a great way to visit with rabbits in real life and learn about the cotton-tailed cuties. There will be bunny grooming sessions by donations with The Hare Dresser or the VRRA team, and rabbit vets on site with information about pet health and diet.
You can also shop the festival vendors at the Scottish Cultural Centre, enter to win the raffle or door prize, and meet other bunny lovers at the event.

Cirque Costume Ball
What: Vancouver’s longest-running licensed Halloween bash takes over Science World on Friday, Oct. 31. Over 1,200 ghoulish party-goers will enjoy live cirque performances, spooky décor, and the city’s top DJs and performers.
Prepare for a full night of frights with three music rooms across two floors featuring 10 of the city’s top DJs and live performers. Cirque performance artists, including silk aerialists, contortionists, LED dancers, stilt walkers, jugglers, and more, will leave your jaw on the floor.

HowlOver Canada
What: Immersive flight ride attraction FlyOver is transforming into HowlOver Canada from Oct. 9 to 31. During the Halloween experience, passengers will meet Biker Mama the Witch and her band of spooky sidekicks before taking off on a flight through the night sky. The annual event also includes an original eerie pre-show and lots of chilling decorations.

What: Greendale Acres’ iconic maze is celebrating its 27th year in 2025, and the new design of the massive cornfield has longtime fans buzzing with excitement.
The field pays tribute to what the designers call “the quiet heroes of our farm and our food system” — the bee.
It’s worth making a day trip to Greendale Acres. With a giant corn maze, tractor and hay rides, farm animals, children’s activities, and more, your day will be filled with non-stop fun.

I Know What You Did Last Weekend at The Improv Centre
What: I Know What You Did Last Weekend is a blend of ’90s teen slasher films with the spontaneity of live improv comedy. The show begins with a murder based on suggestions from the audience and then dives into a world of secrets, betrayals and laughs.

What: Get ready, scream fans, because Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF) is gearing up for Halloween with a huge celebration of one of horror’s greatest icons.
The spooky celebration at the VIFF Centre – Vancity Theatre is all about Frankenstein. It includes iconic films from the 1930s, as well as the highly anticipated movie by three-time Oscar winner Guillermo del Toro.

City of Richmond Halloween Fireworks Festival
What: The City of Richmond’s Halloween Fireworks Festival returns to Minoru Park on the big night, and costumes are highly recommended.
This year’s theme is Creepy Carnival, with family-friendly activities, live entertainment, and even trick-or-treating. And, of course, there will be a big fireworks display to cap off the spooky evening at 9 p.m.

Secrets of the Penthouse
What: Secrets of the Penthouse is hosted by Forbidden Vancouver and includes a guided tour where guests will be invited backstage to hear all the shocking details of the nightclub’s past.
Club owner Danny Filippone will lead you on the tour, accompanied by two other guides: Aaron Chapman, author of Liquor, Lust, and the Law, and Grant McDonald, retired Vancouver Police officer who raided the club in the ’60s and ’70s and once arrested Filippone’s own father.
