Fall officially starts today and Vancouver is filled with fun things to do. From Sickboy Podcast to RuPaul’s Drag Race, here are seven things to do on Monday, September 23.

Sickboy Podcast

What: The hit podcast Sickboy will be performing live at the Rio Theatre in Vancouver on September 23. The podcast was started by Jeremie Saunders and his two friends Taylor MacGillivary and Brian Stever. Saunders was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis when he was a child, and his parents were told that he wasn’t likely to live past his 20th birthday. He’s now 31.

In the podcast, the three Halifax-born friends interview people about their experiences with illness, death, and disease — everything from cancer to depression — all while finding humour in even the darkest situations.

Vancouver Canucks vs Ottawa Senators

Vallea Lumina

What: Vallea Lumina the interactive experience is presented by Montreal-based entertainment studio, Moment Factory and Whistler’s very own “The Adventure Group.” Through the use of emotive lights, video, soundscape, and scenography, guests are “transported” to another world with opportunities to touch, play, and explore their new environment.

When: Now until October 13, 2019

Definitely Dali Exhibition

What: Chali-Rosso Art Gallery’s annual Definitely Dali exhibition is back for the summer. Enjoy original artwork by the great Spanish Surrealist master, every single day until the end of September. Plus visit the monumental Salvador Dali sculptures they have positioned in the two public, outdoor spaces: Dalinian Dancer at the corner of Alberni and Thurlow St., and Space Venus at LOT 19, at the foot of Hornby St. 2 W. Hastings.

RuPaul’s Drag Race: Werq The World Tour

What: RuPaul’s Drag Race is coming to Vancouver this fall. Your favourite drag stars will be hitting the stage for the Official RuPaul’s Drag Race WERQ the World Tour. The show will be hosted by the fabulous Michelle Visage who “takes you on a journey to save the galaxy in the largest drag production ever produced.” Also featuring Aquaria, Kameron Michaels, Kim Chi, Naomi Smalls, Violet Chachki, and the queens from Season 11.

Wünderbar ‘Oktobeerfest’ Pop-Up at Bells & Whistles

What: Bells & Whistles will be transforming into a Bavarian-inspired beer hall for over two weeks of beer-fueled celebration. Menu specials like warm pretzels with tangy honey mustard, currywurst (or vegan ‘Beyond Sausage’ brat, crispy fries, curry ketchup), an Oktoberfest platter (crispy pork schnitzel, bratwurst, rosemary bacon, braised housemade sauerkraut, German potato salad, mustard and pickles) and a custom-created Foothills Creamery soft-serve dessert will all be up for order. This Wünderbar ‘Oktobeerfest’ Pop-Up will also feature some classic German beer styles from local brewers.
