What: G Day is a series of one-day events that celebrate the transition between childhood and adolescence in tween girls ages 10 to 12 and includes parents and other supportive adults in girls’ lives.

International Dance Day – Free Dance Workshops and Performances

The Living Room – culturecapital

What: Rumble Theatre hosts the fourth and final Living Room of the season. This time out they’ve invited local theatre artists Milton Lim and Patrick Blenkarn to share their new card game, culturecapital, a collectible trading card game about the arts economy in Canada.

Franc’ouver Mic

What: Franc’ouver Mic is inspired by the Toronto event Franc’open Mic originally created by Cyril Mignotet and Florian François in 2014. It’s the first French open mic in Vancouver for all performing arts such as singing, comedy, stand up, poetry, improv, or slam poetry. The event is open to amateurs and professional artists, French-speakers or Francophiles. Young artists are welcome to come and perform.

Dust: Francesca Frewer & Erika Mitsuhashi

What: Inspired by the poetry of Anne Carson, Dust uses movement, text and powerful visual effects to reveal the gradual undoing of the performance space, and of the performer herself. Created by dance artists Francesca Frewer and Erika Mitsuhashi, and performed by Frewer, the work is a collaboration with Adam Asnan (sound), Nellie Gossen (textiles), and Daniel O’Shea (new media).

Cat & Nat: #momtruths

What: In tandem with their book release, Cat and Nat are hitting the road to tell never-before-told stories about the stress, guilt, joy, and laundry of being a mom. Join them as they shine a witty light on some of the hardest topics in motherhood, all while celebrating this amazing community of women who come from all walks of life but are united in the idea that we’re all just doing the best we can.

Pharos Annual Musical Evening: Ballads of Greece

What: An eclectic collection of Greek music spanning Entehna, Rembetika, Laika. and music banned during the military junta from 1939 to 2018. Presented in an intimate setting upstairs in the Hellenic Community of Vancouver.
