What: Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival, which runs from Feb. 27 to March 11, is here to inspire you with dozens of films celebrating climbing, snow sports, mountain biking, and more.
Guests will also hear from inspiring guest speakers and thought-provoking filmmakers from around the world in the thrilling lineup of films, presentations and workshops.

Vancouver Public Library’s Black History Month Celebration
What: Vancouver Public Library hosts a film screening and community social celebrating leader and advocate Nalda Callender.
The event will feature a screening of the uplifting feature-length documentary, Jireh Gospel: Hearts in Chorus.

Ria Mae
What: Halifax’s Ria Mae is a platinum-selling pop star and songwriter known for catchy hits like “Bend,” “Too Close,” and “Clothes Off.” The three-time Juno nominee recently released her second album, Two, and comes to the Biltmore Cabaret on Feb. 27.

Vanier Park: Monthly Pay-What-You-Can Sundays at Vancouver’s Museums

H.R. MacMillan Space Centre
What: H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, Vancouver Maritime Museum, and the Museum of Vancouver are partnering up for Pay-What-You-Can Sundays.
On the first Sunday of every month, guests of all ages are invited to visit the three Kitsilano waterfront attractions and explore the exhibits without financial barriers.
The three Vancouver attractions are within walking distance of each other in Vanier Park, and guests can discover maritime history, learn about local heritage, and explore science and space.

Trevor Linden Bottle Signing with J.P. Wiser’s
What: Enjoy an exclusive meet-and-greet with former NHL legend Trevor Linden to celebrate the iconic NHL partnership with J.P. Wiser’s Canadian whisky.
To participate in the signing, you must purchase a bottle of J.P. Wiser’s. Availability will be capped, time permitting. Purchase guarantees a photo with Trevor Linden during the signing.

Super Weekend at Fraser River Discovery Centre
What: Fraser Valley Discovery Centre hosts a series of public programs for families on the last weekend of each month, with immersive activities that help guests of all ages discover the important waterway.
January and February explores the Blustery Fraser Canyon and how its unique geography of the Fraser Canyon shapes the Lower Mainland’s weather patterns.

Silk Road Music: Lunar New Year Celebration
What: Silk Road Music blends the historic traditions of Asian and non-Asian music for a Lunar New Year celebration at Gateway Theatre on Feb. 28.
The celebratory concert will showcase why Silk Road Music has won two Best World Music awards from the West Coast Music Awards, been featured on BBC International Recital, and spotlighted at festivals all over North America.

Britannia Mine Museum – Ores & Orcas

Brittania Mine Museum
What: Britannia Mine Museum hosts Ores & Orcas – Howe Sound /Átl’ḵa7tsem: A Recovering Ecosystem until February 2026. Guests will be able to explore how copper contamination impacted the marine food chain from plankton to predators and discover how remediation efforts protect the important ecosystem.
The temporary exhibit also showcases specimens from the Howe Sound ecosystem, including the skeleton of a real killer whale.

Milk and Cookies for Canuck Place
What: Beloved local bakeries, including Purebread, Lee’s Donuts, Bak’d, Benanna Bakery, Cozy Bean Bakery, and more, are all teaming up to offer special treats and host in-store fundraisers to raise money to support Canuck Place Children’s Hospice. Plus, B.C. dairy farmers are matching donations up to $30,000.

Robson Square Ice Rink

What: Located under the covered outdoor plaza at Robson Square, the rink operates seasonally when temperatures begin to dip. Over 100,000 skaters are expected to visit each year.
Skating is free for all ages. Those without skates can rent them on-site for a fee, and helmets are mandatory for anyone under the age of 12.

LunarFest 2026 – Year of the Horse
What: The Lantern City is back for 2026, with five sites running until late February and early March. Enormous, totem-like lanterns by acclaimed artists can be found at šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énk Square, Pendulum Gallery, Granville Island, 800 Robson St., and Bentall Centre.
LunarFest is also presenting the 2026 Lunarfest Concert on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at the Orpheum Theatre. Attendees will enjoy Taiwanese family theatre troupe, Fooderlon Theater, Kristin Fung, Harmonia, West Vancouver Youth Band’s Symphonic Strings, Nicholas Urquhart, and Emma Qu.

Around The Kitchen Table: Crafting Connections
What: This exhibition explores how making by hand can function as a language of its own. H Tasting Lounge’s Winterlust
What: Winterlust is once again taking over the stunning H Tasting Lounge’s patio. The event consists of five private translucent domes decorated with seasonal evergreen elements and Alpine-themed accents. Visitors will also enjoy views of the North Shore mountains and Coal Harbour.
Each dome can accommodate up to six guests and is fully equipped with heaters and fresh-air circulation to keep things nice and cozy. Additionally, each dome has an independent sound system so you can enjoy your own tunes while dining.
