What: Thousands of visitors are expected to flock to the three-day celebration at the Vancouver Convention Centre, drawing in fans of sci-fi, horror, comic books, and everyone in between.
The epic lineup of celebrity guests includes Hayden Christensen (Star Wars), William Shatner (Star Trek), Jenna Coleman and Catherine Tate (Doctor Who), Alan Tudyk (Resident Alien), and many more.

Rajni Perera: Futures
What: Sri Lankan artist Rajni Perera brings nearly 30 works from throughout her career to the Surrey Art Gallery for the exhibition, Futures. While she looks ahead to unsure times with social inequities and climate change looming, her future goddesses and inventive armours work to adapt to challenging times and places.

Odds and Limblifter
What: Canadian ’90s rock staples Odds and Limblifter are teaming up for a show at the Commodore Ballroom on February 21. Get ready to sing along with favourites like “Eat My Brain” and “Wake Up To The Sun.”

HSBC SVNS Vancouver

What: Rugby sevens returns to BC Place from February 21 to 23 for three days of excitement. This is the 10th time Vancouver has hosted the event.
The rugby sevens tournament, which includes both men’s and women’s events, is a massive party where fans get dressed up, sing, and cheer on the athletes on the field. Games are played with just seven-minute halves, but one ticket gets you into the building for a whole day of matches.
You can also spot neon signs popping up around Vancouver as the city hosts the global Sevens rugby tournament. Take a picture and scan the code to upload your photos to enter for a chance to win the Greatest Moments Sweepstakes.

Discover Black Strathcona Resurgence Project murals
What: Vancouver Mural Festival’ss Black Strathcona Resurgence Project is a multi-year project that spotlights Black storytelling through public murals created in partnership with local Black artists, businesses, and communities.
Begin at the corner of Main & Union (check out the mural story along the Georgia Viaduct and look up and walk around the Hydro station), and then explore the 11 new BSRP murals created in the Hogan’s Alley neighbourhood during VMF 2021.

Sommelier Showdown
What: The second event in the Sommelier Showdown series is taking place at Five Sails, featuring renowned sommelier Nick Bertoia (L’Abattoir, Published on Main, Bar Susu) and Randy Chafe (Fairmont Hotels, The Vancouver Club) going head-to-head to battle by pairing wines with a four-course dinner crafted by Five Sails Culinary Director Alex Kim.

Multiple Realities: Experimental Art in the Eastern Bloc, 1960s–1980s

The interdisciplinary exhibition features works from nearly 100 artists questioning how, when, and where art could exist and uncovering its various meanings for society.

Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival 2025

What: The Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival, which runs from February 21 to March 4, is here to inspire you with its epic series of events celebrating climbing, snowsports, mountain biking, and more.
There are 60 films at 20 in-person shows in VIMFF’s 2025 lineup, exploring important themes like the environment, Indigenous voices, resistance, and more.
VIMFF is also welcoming some of the world’s leading explorers, athletes, and creatives. Hear their unique experiences and take part in a variety of workshops throughout the festival.

Dining and Dragons: Food Tour Quest
What: Vancouver Foodie Tours invites adventurous foodies to embark on a Food Tour Quest of Gastown. Dining and Dragons is a limited-time-only event during Fan Expo Weekend where guests use D&D skills and pre-built characters with backstories to discover and devour delicious food and drinks at three restaurants in the neighbourhood.

Big Trouble in Little Canada
What: Vancouver stand-up faves Jon Endo, Cory Lupovichi, and Robert Peng are teaming up for the new Big Trouble in Little Canada tour. The trio members have been featured on Just for Laughs, the Seattle International Comedy Competition, and the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival, and they’re excited to cause a hilarious ruckus for three shows this winter.

Tsiknopempti Celebration at Nammos Estiatorio
What: Nammos is inviting the whole community to stop by and celebrate Tsiknopempti, also known as “Smokey Thursday” in Greece. This celebration is part of the Greek Carnival season and is marked by enjoying grilled and roast meats before Lent. You’ll find plenty of grilled skewers, lamb chops, and more outside. Plus, Nammos has promised some “surprises” are in store.

Chris Griffin at Yuk Yuks
What: Chris Griffin has won the Vancouver’s Yuk Yuk’s Competition, is one of the only Canadian comics to reach the finals of the San Francisco International Comedy Competition, and has shared the stage with stand-up greats like Norm Macdonald, Tom Papa, and Bert Kreischer. He performs three shows at Yuk Yuks Surrey this month.

The City of Others (La Ciudad de los Otros)

The City Of Others
What: DanceHouse, in partnership with Blackout Art Society and the Vancouver Latin American Cultural Centre, presents the Vancouver premiere of The City of Others (La Ciudad de los Otros).
Sankofa Danzafro’s artistic director, Rafael Palacios, choreographed the work to celebrate Colombia’s 159th anniversary of the abolition of slavery. The audience will experience a blend of contemporary dance, high-energy techno beats, and traditional Colombian songs and dances.

Vancouver Aquarium presents Survival of the Slowest
What: Vancouver Aquarium’s new exhibit, Survival of the Slowest, celebrates all things slow in the animal kingdom by giving you a sneak peek behind some of nature’s most inventive creatures. From now until Monday, September 1, this limited-time exhibit lets you step into a world where being slow, small, and even weak can be a powerful survival strategy.
Throughout the exhibit, you can dive into interactive displays to uncover how these naturally slow critters, like the two-toed sloth, have adapted to survive in the wild. Relax into daily Slow & Tell animal presentations so you can chill with the coolest sluggish creatures like the four-toed hedgehog and the armoured armadillo.

Jerry Seinfeld

What: Jerry Seinfeld will perform two shows at the historic Queen Elizabeth Theatre on Sunday, February 23, as part of the ninth annual Just for Laughs Vancouver.
Seinfeld’s big break came with his appearance on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson in 1981. He is also beloved for his sitcom Seinfeld, co-created with Larry David, which won him legions of fans and awards at the Emmys, the Golden Globes, and the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
The Brooklyn, New York-born star has written three best-selling books, has two lauded Netflix specials, Jerry Before Seinfeld and 23 Hours to Kill, and continues to serve up laughs with his popular series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.

Super Weekend at Fraser Valley Discovery Centre
