One of Vancouver’s most fun sporting events of the year is coming up soon, and single-day tickets just went on sale.

Rugby sevens returns to BC Place February 21 to 23 for three days of excitement. This is the 10th time Vancouver has hosted the event.

Single-day HSBC SVNS tickets can be purchased online and start at $45, although the price will increase from February 6 onwards. Tournament passes are also available, offering entry for all three days starting at $169 plus taxes and fees.

The $45 fee for a single-day pass is less than half the typical get-in price to see the Vancouver Canucks. Below you can see the cheapest tickets on the resale market for the next five NHL games at Rogers Arena:

  • January 25 (Washington Capitals): $151
  • February 2 (Detroit Red Wings): $125
  • February 4 (Colorado Avalanche): $104
  • February 8 (Toronto Maple Leafs): $248
  • March 5 (Anaheim Ducks): $90

The rugby sevens tournament, which includes both men’s and women’s events, is a massive party where fans get dressed up, sing, and cheer on the athletes on the field. Games are played with just seven-minute halves, but one ticket gets you into the building for a whole day of matches.

It’s normal to see all fans dressed in all types of outfits from superheroes to animated characters to random objects. The tournament is one of the must fun and unique sporting events Vancouver hosts each year.

Vancouver is the fourth stop on tour this year, following rugby sevens events in Dubai, Cape Town, and Perth.

While the Canadian men’s team didn’t qualify for the international circuit this year, there will be a separate invitational tournament they’re involved in happening at the same time, so fans can see the home team in action.

The Canadian women’s team, which won silver at the Paris 2024 Olympics, will participate in the women’s tournament. They currently rank seventh of 12 teams on the circuit.
