Diljit Dosanjh

What: Record-breaking Punjabi hitmaker Diljit Dosanjh embarks on a huge new tour this spring, and he’s kicking things off in a familiar Vancouver venue.
Dosanjh returns to BC Place on Thursday, April 23, to launch the North American leg of the Aura World Tour.
He is known as one of the most-viewed Punjabi artists of all time. “Indian Drake” has recorded 15 studio albums, the most recent being Aura in October 2025. Dosanjh was also the first Punjabi-speaking artist to perform at Coachella, and appeared as a judge for three seasons of India’s reality show Rising Star.

Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden – 40 Years of Bridging Cultures Celebration
What: Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden is celebrating 40 years with a huge celebration on Friday, April 24, complete with original 1986 admission pricing of $3 and opening hours from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The Ming Dynasty-style garden home is the first of its kind to have been built outside of China. Enjoy cultural performances, traditional food, interactive workshops, and more. There will also be additional activities and experiences to discover throughout the weekend.

The Vegan Market
What: The Vegan Night Market, hosted by Peaces, is a plant-based food-fuelled party where guests can enjoy a drink and food while they shop from over 45 businesses. There will be a bunch of plant-based products to discover, including soaps and treats, while you listen to live music.

Richmond Night Market 2026

Richmond Night Market
What: The Richmond Night Market is returning this month, and with it, it’ll be bringing the world’s first night market zipline, an all-new Trading Card Zone, and over 500 food items to try.
The theme for this year’s market is “Little Wonder World,” which the market describes as a “dazzling, globe-trotting adventure filled with iconic landmark decorations, vibrant displays, and a stunning themed wall designed for unforgettable moments.” There will also be a giant soccer display.
As for bites, customers can expect anything from Asian street eats to trending global bites. In previous years, there have been eats including everything from jumbo oysters and birria tacos to takoyak, gochujang chicken corn pizza, and more.

Inlet Spring Regatta
What: Dragon boat racers and fans are taking to the waters of the Burrard Inlet this weekend.
The seventh annual Inlet Spring Regatta will be held on Saturday, April 26, at Rocky Point Park in Port Moody.
This year’s family-friendly event features dozens of teams competing in several divisions. The Regatta will also feature plenty of activities and entertainment for all ages.

Party for the Planet
What: The City of Surrey is set to host the 15th annual Party for the Planet at Surrey Civic Plaza, presented by TD, on Saturday, April 25.

Another Room Photo Festival

Another Room Photo Festival
What: Hosted at Gallery 881 in East Vancouver, Another Room is a month-long festival in April that platforms all kinds of photographic practices.
More than 100 local artists will have their works featured throughout the festival, plus there will also be exhibitions, talks, workshops, youth programming, and community events. It’s a whole new look at photography as a whole, and it’s just in time for spring outings.

Harrison Tulip Festival
What: Now open daily until at least May 3, the Harrison Tulip Festival in Agassiz invites visitors to experience Canada’s largest tulip festival.
