Each Monday, the Port Moody Public Library hosts Babytime: half an hour of songs and stories for kids of all ages. In order to participate, be on the lookout for a Facebook live stream on the Port Moody Public Library Facebook page at 10:30 am.

Quarantine and Chill Yoga

Before the pandemic, Flatspot in Chinatown hosted a weekly hour-long yoga session in their skate shop. Although their Monday night yoga is currently on hold, Sam James from Unity From Within has provided the spot with a follow-along yoga exercise for you to do at home.

Live Soccer Skills Clinic with the Vancouver Whitecaps

If you’re missing out on sports, join in on an online soccer skills clinic with the Vancouver Whitecaps. All you’ll need is a steady internet connection, a ball, two walls or surfaces to bounce the ball off of, an object to act as a cone, and space to dribble.

At 2 pm on Monday to Friday, visit the Whitecaps website to join their skills clinic with Coach Bart Choufour and possibly even a few players. Those who’d like to follow along without being featured on the main screen should turn off their video or watch along on the Whitecaps YouTube.

Just because you can’t explore the cherry blossoms in person doesn’t mean that they should be left under-appreciated. Head over to the Vancouver Cherry Blossom webpage to enjoy one of six virtual tree walks in locations where festival walks were scheduled to take place.

You’ll be able to see the beautiful blooms in Queen Elizabeth Park, Stanley Park, UBC, Downtown, the West End, Strathcona, and around the Joy Kogawa House.
