If you’ve ever thought that Vancouver’s fashion scene was boring, think again.
The city’s makeup, fashion, and beauty school, Blanche Macdonald, just hosted its annual graduate fashion show, Cherry Bomb!, where design students showcased their final year collections.
The event took place Wednesday at the Blanche Macdonald Atelier Campus’ Presentation Space on Robson Street, featuring a bold runway show and portfolio viewing. Daily Hive went along to the show and we can tell you that the future looks promising for Vancouver’s next designers.
Fabrics like lace, faux fur, PVC, denim, mesh, patent leather, wool, and jersey, took over the runway. Meanwhile, integrated purse design, bondage straps, oversize pieces, and flowing styles, emerged as trends among the designers.
