40th Annual Vancouver Jazz Festival

Coastal Jazz

What: The 40th annual Vancouver International Jazz Festival is returning to stages all over the city from Friday, June 20, to Tuesday, July 1.

The full lineup of events will be shared by the Coastal Jazz & Blues Society over the upcoming weeks. To get music lovers jazzed about this year’s fest, organizers announced the first two performances in this summer’s legendary lineup.

First up are headlining performances by Grammy-winning bassist and composer Richard Bona and his Asante trio on Monday, June 23, and world-class guitarist and composer Bill Frisell with Thomas Morgan and Rudy Royston on Tuesday, June 24.

West Vancouver Community Cultural Fest

What: The 2025 West Vancouver Community Cultural Fest takes place from June 6 to 7. The free festival program includes live performances, a kids’ zone, art stations, and delicious eats and drinks from around the world. There will also be a Walkway of Nations where you can discover diverse traditions through music, art and interactive displays.

Musical guests on the West Vancouver Community Cultural Fest main stage include Serengeti, The Whiskeydicks, Mostly Marley, and Empanadas Ilegales.

Jann Arden

What: Canadian entertainment icon Jann Arden is on the road for The Mixtape Tour. The show will feature songs from Arden’s brand-new album, as well as all her favourite hits from the ’90s.

Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival

What: Over 100,000 visitors and racers are expected to attend the city’s biggest Dragon Boat celebration. The two-day event will feature international dragon boat races and an expanded range of programming, as well as free concerts throughout the day.

Headliners include Canadian electro-pop star Lights, a four-time Juno winner known for hit songs like “Drive My Soul” and “Up We Go,” and Felix Cartel, a Vancouver-based DJ and electronic dance music producer well known for his viral dance parties as well as for winning Dance Recording of the Year at the 2020 Juno Awards.

Car Free Day Surrey

What: The fourth-annual Car Free Day Surrey, hosted by the Newton Business Improvement Association, is happening on Saturday, June 7, along 137th Street. The day-long event will feature live entertainment, family-friendly activities, food vendors, and more.

Visitors will find lots to see and do during the free street party, including the new acoustic stage with soulful performances by Glisha, high-energy folk by Pat Chessell, and more. You can also stop by the DJ and Dance Stage for dance battles and live sets by DJ Seko, Street Kings Dance, Charlie PS, Good Goin’, and DJ A-Slam.

BC Lions Concert Kickoff with Snoop Dogg

What: The BC Lions have outdone themselves again, as Snoop Dogg will perform at their home opener this month.

The legendary rapper will perform at BC Place on Saturday, June 7, ahead of the Lions’ game against the Edmonton Elks.

Time: Concert begins at 5:45 p.m., game kicks off at 7 p.m.
Where: BC Place – 777 Pacific Blvd., Vancouver
Cost: Tickets to the game, which include access to the concert, are available for $39.25 via Ticketmaster.

5X Festival Blockparty

What: Canada’s largest South Asian youth event will kick off this year’s festivities with a free outdoor celebration in June.

5X Festival Blockparty, taking place at Surrey Civic Plaza on June 14, features a concert lineup of some of the finest South Asian musical and artistic talents. The all-ages, outdoor event also includes art installations, a vendor village, and food and drink vendors.

Finn Wolfhard

Vancouver Francophone Summer Festival 2025

What: Vancouver Francophone Summer Festival is hosting a huge lineup of concerts, and you don’t have to be a Francophone enthusiast to attend, either.

Some of the acclaimed performers in this year’s lineup include Missy D, Vallée Des Loups and Soleil Launière, and free outdoor concerts with Waahli and guests

Wu-Tang Clan

Wu-Tang Clan

What: American hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan will play Vancouver’s Rogers Arena in June with special guests Run The Jewels.

Considered by many to be the greatest hip-hop group of all time, the band has sold over 40 million albums to date and hits include “C.R.E.A.M. (Cash Rules Everything Around Me)” and “Protect Ya Neck.”

Candlelight: A Tribute to Coldplay

What: A candlelight Coldplay tribute concert is coming to Vancouver in June, and you’ll want to set your “Clocks” for this one.

The highly anticipated shows will be put on by Fever, with the live, multi-sensory musical experience taking place on June 21 and Aug. 30. With a dozen of Coldplay’s biggest hits being performed by the Listeso String Quartet, including “Fix You” and “Paradise,” you’re sure to hear your favourites at Kerrisdale Presbyterian Church.
