Sure, the snow in Metro Vancouver has caused headaches for commuters and kept city crews busy as they try to keep up with the latest round of winter.

But some residents in the region have taken the opportunity to enjoy the snow to the fullest extent.

Yes, some people were spotted skiing down the streets in East Vancouver last night, but in this case we’re talking about the resident otters at the Vancouver Aquarium, who appear all too happy to simply play with a giant ball of fresh snow.

If you couldn’t make it down to see the otters play in person today, due to the *ahem * snow, don’t worry.

According to Environment Canada, there is more snow in the forecast this week, which likely means the otters will have continued opportunities to play with it, in the way only they can, while you witness them from the sidelines.

Of course, if you are planning to go check out the otters at the aquarium for yourself this week, make sure you’re properly prepared with the right clothing for winter weather, and if you’re driving, make sure you have snow tires — the roads have been a bit of a mess!
