The Aquarium is offering 50% off on Halloweekend

The spookiest, most ghoulish time of year is fast approaching, which brings with it a plethora of opportunities to explore our city in a new light.

Let’s face it, Halloween is still great fun for us adults, but the experience is on a whole other level for kids. It’s a time when they can transform into their favourite icon, movie character, superhero, villain, or a ghost, witch, devil, or a cheese sandwich (if the costume is available) and wear it for a fullĀ day (or two, or three).

No matter what they dress up as, kids have a wicked time on Halloween (pun intended).

To celebrate the best (boo-st? Okay we’ll stop) of the season, the Vancouver Aquarium is offering 50% off the price of entry for all youth (4 to 18 years of age) who dress up on Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27. Of course, parents who participate will get brownie points! Children 3 and under get in for free.

Bring the little ones along to the Aquarium to face their fears and check out the spooktacular creatures residing there, such as snakes, spiders, bats, and cockroaches.

It’s their chance to come face-to-face with the animals, and if they’re feeling brave enough, they could even get hands-on with these creatures. We’re not kidding.

Ophidiophobia (the fear of snakes) is a real thing, but this Halloween, both adults and kids can meet one of the Aquarium’sĀ slithery serpents to discover that there’s really nothing to be scared of.

Next up are cockroaches. Yes, children can join one of the daily ‘Meet a Cockroach’ programs to get a close look at how these small creepy crawlers move.

There’s something for everyone, with special Halloween programming where the kids can learn about spooky sea creatures, enjoy face painting, arts and crafts, and puppet shows, and more.

But that’s not where the action-packed entertainment ends. Oh no, your spooky visit wouldn’t be complete without a mesmerizing cinematic spectacle.

TheĀ Reef Reborn 4-D experience lets you and the kids dive into a world of majestic sea turtles and eye-popping fish, all without leaving the Aquarium. That’s right, trick-or-treaters can see a whole other, fun and educational side to Halloween this year.

What are you waiting for? Start planning your family’s Halloween costumes now and get ready to experience Halloween at theĀ Vancouver Aquarium.
