Ancora is ready to bring lovebirds Peruvian and Japanese-fused cuisine on Valentine’s Day. The restaurant is offering their à la carte menu, as well as a selection plates for two prepared by Executive Chef Ricardo Valverde. For drinks all guests can expect a ‘pink sheet’ featuring rosé wines and bubbles. Additionally, one lucky couple will be picked at random to enjoy Ancora’s most requested table.

2. Au Comptoir

Settle into a table a Au Comptoir and enjoy a “Paris-by-way-of-West-Coast feast” on February 14. The four-course dinner allows guests to choose from a selection of starters and mains which include dishes like Tarte Fine Aux Endives, Bloc De Foie Gras, and Le Black Cod among other things. Seating times are between 5:30 and 6:15pm, or 8 and 8:45pm and the price is $80 per person.

4. Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar

Chef Alex Chen is preparing a special four-course meal with an optional wine pairing, and a complimentary box of Valentine’s Petit Four by Pastry Chef Kenta Takahashi. Highlights from this menu include slow poached Sawmill Bay Oysters, Butter Poached Atlantic Lobster Tail, and Prime New York Striploin. This meal is $99 per person and a wine pairing is available for an additional $59 per person. 5. Burdock & Co

Burdock & Co is offering a special prix fixe menu for Valentine’s Day. Guests are invited to feast on a multi-course feast crafted by restaurant owner and Executive Chef Andrea Carlson and her team. Expect vegetable-forward and sustainable seafood dishes along with a top-notch wine list. The first seating for this dinner is at 6 and 6:30pm, and the second seating is at 8 and 8:30pm. 6. Cibo Trattoria

The authentic Italian Trattoria is offering a four-course set menu for two that features highlights such as the Saffron Chitarra Pasta with fresh saltspring clams, a Wine-Braised Lamb Shank on a bed of soft polenta, and a Flourless Chocolate Cake for dessert. Edible Canada has a great prix fixe menu for Valentine’s Day. Features of this three-course meal include Rangeland Bison Tartare, Prairie Farro Risotto, and Chocolate Pot Du Creme to finish. This menu is $45 per person. Additional add-ons include two glasses of Charme de l’ile for $10, and a selection of BC wines both by the bottle and by the glass on special. Farmer’s Apprentice is offering a six-course flower-themed menu on both February 13 and February 14. With seatings at 5:30 and 8pm, guests can choose from a Herbivore and Omnivore menu option for $80 per person along with an additional wine pairing for $50.
