Uncle Tetsu Metrotown FINALLY got matcha Japanese cheesecake

If it feels like we’ve been waiting for Uncle Tetsu Metrotown – the iconic chain’s only BC location – to get new menu items, it’s because we have.

The beloved purveyor of fluffy Japanese cheesecake has only been serving up three menu items since opening in May 2018, including Honey Madeleines, Uncle Tetsu’s Rusk, and of course, the famous cake (which are limited to one per person, by the way).

Now over a year after opening, the Metrotown Mall location will be offering patrons a special Matcha Cheesecake – a popular variety of the signature dessert.

This will only be available Mondays and Wednesdays, so be sure to mark your calendar and wear comfy shoes because as always, there’s sure to be a line at this spot.
