Going to a drive-in movie theatre used to be a thing of the past.

Now, film fanatics can enjoy a nostalgic throwback, as Metro Vancouver’s drive-in movie theatre has announced that they’ll be opening next week.

Located in Langley, the Twilight Drive-In will once again welcome viewers to its venue, beginning next Friday, March 1.

The theatre itself is located at 260th Street and Fraser Highway in Langley.

In addition to being an annual summer pastime, the Twilight was also featured in Season one of CW’s Riverdale. Jughead Jones, played by Cole Sprouse, lived at the theatre before it was torn down in a later episode.

A full roster of movies has yet to be announced, however, the staff at the Twilight confirmed that their opening weekend double feature, running from March 1 to 3, will be Aquaman at 7:15 pm and Glass at 9:50 pm.

So if you’re looking for a chance to escape the city and enjoy an outdoor movie from the comfort of your own vehicle, it might be time to start planning your next visit.
