TSN is shutting down its spectacular Vancouver FIFA World Cup studio this week

Sadly, the party can’t go on forever.
Vancouver hosts its final 2026 FIFA World Cup match on Tuesday, a Round of 16 showdown between Colombia and Switzerland. After that, just eight matches will remain in the tournament, as the World Cup crowns a champion July 19 in New Jersey.
A sign of the fun coming to an end locally is that TSN will soon be shutting down its outdoor studio and watch party at Jack Poole Plaza.
“TSN’s FIFA World Cup 2026 coverage from Jack Poole Plaza is ending on July 7th,” TSN announced. “Thank you for joining us and showing the world Canada’s passion for soccer.”

“What a run! Thank you, TSN broadcast team. Weāve been delighted to have you at Jack Poole Plaza, showcasing our beautiful city and celebrating the FIFA World Cup 2026,” the Vancouver Convention Centre announced via social media.
“A special thank you also to the many fans ā from Vancouver and from all over the world ā who came out to cheer on their teams. Itās been an unforgettable few weeks.”
TSN’s studio, with views of Coal Harbour and the North Shore mountains, has been like a cross-country tourism ad for Vancouver. Mother Nature did its part for the past 3+ weeks, as the sun shined for most of the tournament.
With large outdoor screens set up, Jack Poole Plaza has become a popular watch-party spot for fans, too.

Vancouver’s World Cup vibes won’t be completely gone until the final match of the tournament, as the FIFA Fan Festival is scheduled to run until July 19. Same goes for Granville Street, which will be pedestrianized for the duration of the World Cup, and beyond.
