Penguin Plunge

What: Start off the new year with the Penguin Plunge at the Rocky Point boat launch. As this is a fundraiser for Pleasantside Community Association, participants are asked to pay $5 per person or $10 for a family of four. Money collected goes towards programs at Old Orchard Hall, Play Pals, Can Can dancers, and seniors badminton. There will also be sweet treats, coffee and hot chocolate for purchase.

6th Annual Christmas Tree Festival Awards Ceremony

What: Join PoCo Heritage Museum and Archives for their 6th Annual Christmas Tree Festival wrap up party. Find out which dazzling Christmas trees won a trophy or prize this year. Cake and light refreshments will be served.

Queers & Beers at Northpaw

What: Tri-Cities Pride Society presents Queers & Beers on the first Monday of every month. Everyone is welcome for a fun night of beer specials. Northpaw’s mission is to provide a safe space for all members of the LGBTQ2+ community.

When: First Monday of every month.

Heritage Detectives

What: Join PoCo Heritage Museum and Archives’ resident local historian Bryan Ness in a weekly exploration of different aspects of Port Coquitlam’s heritage and history.

The Odd Couple (Female Version)

What: Easy-going and neurotic personalities clash when two women become roommates. While Olive is messy, untidy, and unconcerned about the state of her apartment, Florence is obsessively clean, tidy, and obsessed with hygiene. Olive’s easy-going outlook on life soon clashes with Florence’s highly-strung neurotic tendencies, testing their friendship to the limit. Written by Neil Simon, directed by Richard Wiens, and starring Angela Bell as Olive Madison and Corrine Out as Florence Unger.

Port Moody Film Society Film Night – The Salesman

What: In 2017 Iranian director Asghar Farhadi won his second Oscar (Best Foreign Language film) for The Salesman. Ranaa and Emad are a married couple, both actors rehearsing for a performance of Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman. When they are forced to move out of their collapsing apartment building, they become embroiled in a dangerous situation in their new home, involving the previous occupant.

Battlefield Fight League – BFL59

What: Battlefield Fight League will return to the Hardrock Casino for BFL59. The card will be headlined by Battlefield Fight League Bantamweight world champion Cole Smith versus #7 Canadian Bantamweight Ty Wilson.

Port Moody Farmers’ Market – Macrame Workshop
