'We’re peacing out': Vancouver bar announces closure after 9 years

After nine years of operation, Tocador Bar has made the unfortunate announcement that it will be closing its doors soon.
“We’re peacing out ✌️😔❤️,” wrote the bar. “Mount Pleasant will always have a special place in our hearts. Thank you for welcoming us into this friendly neighbourhood and letting us be a part of it for a little while.”

Located in Mount Pleasant, Tocador is best known for its one-of-a-kind cocktail creations and classic Latin American and Cuban-inspired dishes. Think cochinita tacos (slow-cooked pork marinated in achiote), patatas bravas, and grilled pastor.
Tocador added that it will be open for the rest of October, with Halloween most likely being its final night.
“Over the next few weeks we will be sharing plenty of laughs — and probably a few tears — along the way. We’ve launched a new menu featuring some of our favourite cocktails from over the years, so come by and join us for some last drinks. There are so many people we would love to see before we go,” wrote the bar.

“Very sad to see. Was my fiance and I’s favourite spot on Main. Huge shout out to Kennedy, always gave the best service and drink recommendations. Tocador will be dearly missed,” wrote one person on Instagram.
“Thats a great run! Sorry to see you go. Lots of memories from Tocador,” added another.
“Aw what a bummer. We will just have to swing by all month,” shared a third.
