Described as ‘Die Hard in China’, Johnson will star as a former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader who assesses security for skyscrapers, but finds himself framed when a new building in China dubbed ‘the safest in the world’ is set ablaze.

Skyscraper is set to film in Vancouver from August 14 to November 17, and Johnson is clearly excited about returning to the Pacific Northwest.

“This’ll mark my third production in Vancouver,” the star wrote on Instagram.

“Excited to bring a movie of this massive scale to a city that’s always been so great to me dating back to my wrestling days and even before that when I played for the Canadian Football League.”

The Rock also revealed the movie will be a boost for the local economy saying: “Happy to create lots a good jobs up there for the locals 🤙🏾 #Skyscraper #Vancouver #China”

And I think we speak for all of Metro Van when we say the feeling is mutual big guy!
