The Rise of Georgia Simmerling is unlike any story we’ve ever heard thus far. She’s competed in three Olympics in three different sports and isn’t done by a long shot.

Growing up in Vancouver’s mountainous North Shore played a huge role in her growth and love for alpine skiing. However, after working her way up the ranks and getting one Olympics under her belt in 2010, she decided it was time to switch things up.

After shaking off a few injuries along the way, Georgia decided she’d head into one of the newer disciplines of ski cross. She became one of Canada’s best World Cup athletes and was named to the Olympic team in 2014 heading to Sochi.

After another Games, a broken wrist and another surgery, she then decided another change was in order. The switch would take her to Rio for the 2016 Summer Olympics and put a bronze medal around her neck.
