'We're going to miss the heck out of all of you': Much-loved Vancouver pub to close this week
This year has seen the closure of many Vancouver restaurants and bars, and now another one has shared the unfortunate news that it’ll be closing by the end of the week.
The Ellis Restaurant, located in Kitsilano, broke the news on Instagram that it is closing permanently on Dec. 6.
“We’ve loved every minute of it, but it’s time to say farewell. Thank you dearly to our community for your support,” wrote the restaurant.

The Ellis is best known for its elevated pub fare, including one of the topĀ veggie burgers in the city, topped with zucchini pickles and togarashi aioli.

“We’re going to miss the heck out of all of you,” added the restaurant.

Recently, the same team behind The Ellis launched a French-Indian fusion restaurant called Peya, which serves dishes like Cornish Hen (Peya’s take on butter chicken) and a Fig and Goat Cheese Samosa.
You can still pop in for one last meal at The Ellis before it closes. Plus, folks visiting on Dec. 6 can enjoy 25 per cent off all night long.
