Western Canada’s largest Christmas store has returned to Metro Vancouver.
Once again, Potters Nursery has made its annual transformation into The Christmas Store at Potters, pivoting the space into a 28,000-sq-ft area dedicated to all things festive and joyful.
Visitors at Potters will be immersed in a world of Christmas cheer, including over 50,000 themed ornaments and several dedicated sections.
Themed areas include an enchanted fairy garden, a 3,000 sq ft “Dark Room,” Petland, the Nutcracker Room, and an all-new Bee Tree, just to name a few.

Also returning this year is the store’s very own Whoville, an entire space dedicated to a wide variety of Grinch-themed items, such as teddy bears, ornaments, mugs, and snow globes.
The Christmas Store at Potters will also have a “Sweet Tree” — what organizers describe as an upside-down white tree with a three-foot scoop of “ice cream” and an array of dessert-shaped ornaments.
In addition to ornaments, visitors will also be able to find toys, games, and stocking stuffers for children, adults, and pets, as well as a gourmet food area with thousands of rare and special products.
Some gourmet goodies include hot chocolate from Montreal’s gourmet village, locally-made jellies and syrups from Krause Berry Farms, maple syrup and butter from Muskoka Lodge, and the Dr. Henry Whisky BBQ Sauce, which donates proceeds to the BC COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund.
The Christmas Store at Potters adds that for this year, they’ll be implementing “safe shopping protocols” such as reduced occupancy, temperature checks, and hand-sanitizing stations.
The store will also make use of widened, one-way aisles, spaced out check-out lanes, and plexiglass screens at every cashier desk. All visitors are asked to wear masks and to respect physical distancing guidelines.
The Christmas Store at Potters is located at 19158 48th Avenue in Surrey and is open daily until December 24, 2020.
