2 teens arrested after more than 100 tires slashed in Burnaby

After more than 100 tires were slashed in Burnaby over the Thanksgiving weekend, police announced on Friday they have arrested a pair of teenagers in connection with the case.

According to Burnaby RCMP, around 10 am on Monday, officers responded to multiple reports from residents around the 7500 block of 12th Avenue who had discovered their vehicles’ tires had been slashed overnight.

As police continued their investigation, a number of additional affected vehicles were discovered around the 7100 block of 10th Avenue.

Now, police have announced that a 14-year-old and 15-year-old have been arrested in connection with the case.

RCMP said both of them were arrested without incident and are facing charges of mischief in connection with the incidents.

Police said as the investigation is ongoing, there is no further information to release at this time.
