A 19-year-old was arrested and remains in custody after a shooting in Chilliwack on Thursday night.

According to Chilliwack RCMP, the incident took place around 9 pm, when officers responded to responded to a report of shots fired “and screaming” in the 45400-block of South Sumas Road.
Upon their arrival, police found a 23-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound, in an incident that police believe to be targeted.
The victim was taken to hospital following the incident, where he remains with what police have described as non- life threatening injuries.
