Share your taxi horror stories: Holiday and New Year's Eve edition

Jan 1 2019, 7:28 am

‘Tis the season… to have a hard time finding a ride home.

The holidays are always crunch time for the taxi industry in Vancouver.  There are too many people out in the city making merry — and seemingly not enough cabs on the road to get them home in a timely manner.

This Christmas it led one city councillor to call on the province to hurry things up when it comes to getting ride-sharing on the road in BC.

Well, we’ve heard crickets on that front, and it will still be fall 2019 or later before services like Lyft and Uber will be ferrying around people on the roads of British Columbia.

Here at Daily Hive, we want to hear about your experience using taxis to get around over the holiday season.  All of it: The good, the bad, and the downright frustrating.

Fill out our online form below or email us at [email protected] to have your say. The answers will be used in future editorial content looking at the future of ridesharing in Metro Vancouver.
