Tap & Barrel Olympic Village closes after employee tests positive for coronavirus

Tap & Barrel has closed its Olympic Village location after one of its employees tested positive for COVID-19.

The family of restaurants made the announcement Friday night. Tap & Barrel confirmed that the individual worked solely at its 75 Athletes Way location in Vancouver and that their last shift was on Wednesday, September 9 from 4 to 10:30 pm.

The establishment voluntarily closed out of an abundance of caution while Vancouver Coastal Health conducts contact tracing.⁠
