Como Taperia's new menu items and happy hour is officially here (PHOTOS)

We told you to get ready, and now it’s here: Como Taperia has returned to full service and its happy hour is back as of this week. We’ve got to be honest, it’s better than ever (seriously, still drooling from our visit).

On top of all of this, Como’s got some new menu items and also, to our delight, returning favourites. We’re looking at you, Tortilla and Jamon.

The Mount Pleasant eatery has kept its popular Mercado for all your shopping, snacking, and drinking needs, but really, you need to plan your dine-in visit for a couple of reasons.

Aside from the unreal fresh eats like the Pigs Head Rillette on Grilled Focaccia and Tomato Confit with Ajo Blanco, Como’s happy hour is now available throughout the restaurant.

Happy hour is offered Wednesday to Friday from 4 to 5 pm and on weekends from 2 to 5 pm — mark those calendars people.

During happy hour, each drink comes with one free tapas, which rotates daily. We’d recommend the sherry, vermouth, and sangria since they are all on tap. Yes, house sangria on tap.

In terms of eats, one of the best highlights was the Bikini Sandwich.

Made from manchego, Jamon, and truffle, this morsel is flippin’ delicious and overall simply glorious.

We could eat it every day. Pair it with a beverage and you’re as golden as this crispy wonder’s toasted bread.

So there you have it, we’d urge you to return to this Vancouver staple and see what’s new, you won’t regret it.
