19-year-old man dies of injuries after being shot in Surrey

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is investigating after a 19-year-old man died of his injuries after being shot in Surrey.

According to IHIT, the victim arrived in hospital on April 30 with a gunshot wound and died soon after.

In a release on Monday, IHIT spokesperson Sgt. Frank Jang said this incident is believed to be an isolated incident with no further risk to the public.

“It does not appear to be related to any of the other recent acts of violence,” he furthered.

No arrests have been made in connection with this case as of yet, and no further details on the incident were provided.
