If you’re looking to skip suffering through the long drive to Crescent Beach or English Bay, the Downtown Surrey Business Improvement Association (DSBIA) has created the perfect spot for you to chill in the summer sunshine right beyond its concrete buildings.
Colourful pool tubes, funky floaties, a tropical view, and the sound of crashing waves will fill the area in front of the North Surrey Recreation Centre on Tuesday for a pop-up beach event.
Amy Han from the DSBIA says that for two summers, they’ve created activities that encouraged “positive community participation.”
You may remember the giant #LOVEball – they did that! This event is guaranteed to be just as insta-worthy.
The pop-up beach event is BYOS (Bring Your Own Sunglasses). Just make sure to watch out for seagulls stealing your snacks if the beach vibe gets too real.
