Possible coronavirus exposure announced at high school in Surrey

Students and staff at Panorama Ridge Secondary school in Surrey are being notified of “a confirmed COVID-19 individual” who was at the school on September 16, 2020.

In a letter, Surrey School District Superintendent Jordan Tinney writes that “public health staff have initiated contact tracing to identify any staff and students that need to self-isolate or monitor for symptoms.”

Receipt of the letter, he notes, “does not mean you have been exposed to COVID-19.”

Rather, “the intent of this letter is to share information with the school community and advise you on the next steps being taken by public health.”

The notice for Panorama Ridge is the third such notice since the start of the school year, after officials said an individual who tested positive for COVID-19 attended the school on September 8, as well as on September 10.
