A motorcyclist in Surrey was killed in a collision with an SUV in Surrey yesterday.

According to Surrey RCMP, the incident took place shortly before 9 pm, when the motorcyclist, who was heading north on 181A Street, collided with a small SUV that was stopped on 181A Street, waiting to turn east onto 61B Avenue.

Now, Surrey Traffic Services, the Surrey RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT), along with the Integrated Collision Analyst and Reconstructionist Services (iCARS) have gathered evidence from the scene and Surrey CCIT will be continuing with the investigation into the cause of the accident.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.

The fatality was the second one in the same day involving a motorcyclist, after a man was killed in a New Westminster traffic collision at approximately 8 am.
