The Light Festival
What: The City of Surrey and Telus are inviting everyone to the Light Festival at Bear Creek Park this fall. Visitors can experience a mesmerizing show of illuminated trees, eye-catching displays, and sparkling lights throughout an ever-changing garden of colour. On opening and closing night, guests will be treated to family-friendly activities at a kid’s zone, food trucks, and roving performers. Tuesday, November 6 will feature Diwali-inspired music, food, and performers, as well as a chance to make your own lanterns at the Surrey Art Gallery. Anyone attending is reminded to bring a flashlight and dress for the weather, as the event will run rain or shine.

Diwali Dhamaka
What: Celebrate Diwali with RED FM with this free family event. Enjoy face painting, balloon twisting, and musical performances from Geeta Zaildar, Gurlez Akhtar, Sony Dhugga, DSP and Reet Kaur.

Surrey Remembers
What: Take in the Remembrance Day service at the Cloverdale Cenotaph in Veterans Square at 10:25 am on Sunday, November 11. Museum of Surrey will remain open until 5 pm with family-friendly activities throughout the museum. The Surrey Archives will be open from 9:30 am to 1 pm. Visitors are welcome to explore the Archives and enjoy refreshments.

Museum After Dark: Dinosaurs
What: Shake up date night by going on a curator-led behind-the-scenes tour of the Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibit. Wonder the permanent exhibit galleries, listen to live music and chat with friends over drinks. Ages 19+.

Filipino Fest
What: See the vibrancy of Filipino culture through textiles, performances, food and a storytelling session.

Heart to Home Holiday Market
What: The Surrey Art Gallery Association invites you to embrace the holiday spirit with a complimentary cup of hot apple cider while finding gifts for your loved ones, and perhaps a few treats for yourself. With close to thirty artists and artisans from our Gift Shop, there will be plenty of one-of-a-kind, locally made items for you to browse. From artisan chocolates and jams to original fused glass and felted wool artworks.

Peter Pan the Panto
What: Fly away to Neverland with Peter Pan, Wendy and Fraser Valley Gilbert and Sullivan Society. Enjoy a fun-filled tale that will captivate you from the opening number right until Captain Hook meets his timely reward. Featuring a huge cast, live band, enchanting characters, and lots of songs and dances.

Seniors Holiday Concert
What: Celebrate seniors this holiday season with a concert and lunch at Surrey City Hall. Featuring musical performances by Topline Vocal Collective, Pat Chessell Band, Susan Skemp and the Langley Ukulele Ensemble. Plus enjoy a delicious lunch and door prizes. For ages 55+.

Surrey Tree Lighting Festival and Holiday Market
What: The City of Surrey will be hosting their annual Tree Lighting Festival and Holiday Market with a 60-foot-tall Christmas Tree. Visitors will be able to enjoy live music and performances by Warren Dean Flandez, Dawn Pemberton, Lovecoast, the Westcoast Harmony Chorus, and The Piano Man. In between sets, attendees can enjoy a number of food trucks, take part in ice carving demos, join in a five-hour road hockey game, take pictures with a life-sized snow globe, and meet a number of athletes from the BC Lions. Children will be able to ride a miniature Christmas Train, as well as free amusement park rides from Shooting Star Amusements, including a “berry-go-round” and a miniature Ferris wheel. And of course, what holiday celebration would be complete without a visit from Santa?

The New Conformity (+ Alphonse & Lola)
What: Three skilled jugglers use their tools of the trade plus martial arts to tell a story that’s laugh-out-loud funny. And to start, a short dance piece where a dancer and a fiddler turn everyday situations into something laughably ridiculous.
