Police want help identifying Surrey robbery suspect

Mounties are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who robbed a convenience store in Surrey.

The unidentified man allegedly entered the Cloverdale store on the evening of April 2 and stole money from the cash register before fleeing, according to Surrey RCMP. The man didn’t use a weapon and there were no injuries from the incident.

The convenience store is located on 168 Street near 59 Avenue.

Police describe the suspect as a heavy set South Asian male with a beard who is about six feet tall. He looked 30 to 40 years old, and was wearing a grey hooded sweater and black track pants.

The man may have been driving a dark grey vehicle with large wheels, police say.
