Where to eat and drink in Vancouver to support Australia's bushfire relief

Watching the tragic bushfires plaguing Australia from our homes in Vancouver can leave us feeling pretty helpless, but a few businesses in town are making efforts to get the community involved in funding to help this ongoing crisis, which has taken the lives of roughly 480 million animals and the homes of many Australians.

If you can’t make it to these local events, there are other ways to help — check out how to make a difference.

Here are some places in Vancouver where you can head to support the bushfire relief in Australia.

Nemesis Coffee – Gastown

The team at Nemesis is throwing a party on January 10 to raise money for the cause, proceeds will be donated to both WIRES Wildlife Rescue and Australian Red Cross. Entry is by donation, and food and beverage will be $5. In addition to the funds raised from this bash, Nemesis will be donating 100% of the retail sales of Padre Coffee, Market Lane Coffee, and Sample Coffee from December and January.

On January 14, this Kitsilano gem is donating 100% of its coffee sales to the NSW Rural Fire Service. If there was ever a time to head to this much-loved cafe, it’s Tuesday from 8 am to 4 pm.
