Subway Canada's Yesway pop-up event surprised soccer fans in Vancouver

Some very lucky Subway fans got to show off their fancy footwork when an exclusive Subway Canada soccer event touched down in Vancouver this week.

In celebration of Subway’s new Subway Series menu of 15 chef-crafted sandwiches, the exciting Yesway booth surprised some local soccer stars with an appearance from Christine Sinclair herself, and, a once-in-a-lifetime challenge.

Working with Burnaby Football Club, Vancouver Whitecaps FC star Ryan Raposo, and local charity Hope and Health — an organization that looks to enhance team spirit among Indigenous children and youth — Subway Canada challenged five youth soccer teams to the Bella Challenge, putting their skills to the test in a tricky targeting shooting competition.

Named after Christine’s favourite sandwich from the brand-new Subway Series menu, the Mozzarella Bella, this competition was just another way that Subway Canada has proven amazing things can happen when you say “Yesway!”

The Bella Challenge was an epic community experience celebrating great food and sports at all levels — from national starts to local clubs — and saw guests score exclusive merch and gift cards from the Yesway Booth. Hope and Health also received a donation from Subway Canada in support of their important work within the community for Indigenous youth and sports.
