CoCo was stolen on Saturday while her owner unloaded groceries from her car. Two suspects, a man and a woman, pulled up in a silver Honda Civic next to where she was standing. The man got out of the passenger seat and snatched the carrier that the dog was in and the pair took off.
There’s no word on the reason for the dog snatching or what kind of punishment the pair will face.
It seems the story struck a chord with some people, as the Burnaby RCMP’s Twitter page was flooded with happy tweets.
@BurnabyRCMP @LangleyRCMP So, so, so very happy to hear this! Kudos to all involved! Well done everyone!

@BurnabyRCMP @i_on_food_drink @LangleyRCMP That is absolutely wonderful. Hope the dog snatchers were, or will be, caught.

@BurnabyRCMP @LangleyRCMP I bet CoCo gets put in the car first before the groceries from now on, call it a hunch 🙂
