Steph Curry and his wife had an unforgettable B.C. wildlife encounter

There’s a reason why the West Coast is properly known as the best coast.

Surely, California native Steph Curry understands that. But there is something a little different about the British Columbian coastline.

Curry and his wife, Ayesha, have been vacationing near Desolation Sound, which is about a five-hour trek from Vancouver.

The couple has been busy kayaking, fishing, and exploring the remote wonderland.

Not only that, but they got up close and personal with one of the largest animals in the Pacific.

One of the videos Curry posted to his Instagram page showed him on a boat just feet away from two orca whales.

How many British Columbians have gotten that close to a whale before?

Ayesha also posted more pictures recently, showing her and Steph exploring the B.C. shorelines while hunting for oysters.

Looks like Steph is making the most of his time in B.C., as have a number of other NBA players this summer.

Shaquille O’Neal DJed a show in Vancouver last weekend, and stopped into a North Burnaby hookah lounge beforehand.

Portland Trail Blazers legend Damian Lillard was spotted training in West Vancouver, as he prepares to come back from missing an entire season due to a torn Achilles.

Other NBAers such as Isaiah Thomas and Bam Adebayo were also seen in the city this month as well.

The non-retired NBAers will get back to work soon, with training camps taking place at the end of September.
