List of school closures due to snowfall in Metro Vancouver

With a huge dump of snow Sunday, and more expected to hit the region today, many schools are closed because of the winter-like conditions.

Here’s a look at what is open and closed so far. Most districts and post-secondary institutions are warning students to check social media before leaving for school, for the latest conditions and closures.

Closed:

• University of the Fraser Valley – All campuses closed
• Kwantlen University – All campuses closed
• Trinity Western – Morning classes cancelled
• Vancouver – Some private schools closed
• Langley – All public schools closed
• Surrey – All public schools closed
• Mission – All public schools closed

Open:

• SFU – All campuses
• BCIT – All campuses
• UBC – Snowy but open as usual
• Langara College
• Vancouver – All public schools open
• Abbotsford – All public schools open
• Burnaby – All public schools open
• Richmond – All public schools open
• North Vancouver – All public schools open
• West Vancouver – All public schools open
• Coquitlam – All public schools open
