UPDATED: Major delays on Expo Line this morning due to track issue

UPDATE: Regular service has resumed

ORIGINAL STORY:

TransLink says SkyTrain’s Expo Line is experiencing “significant delays” due to a track issue near 22nd Street Station.

As a result, passengers traveling on the Expo Line need to change trains at Columbia Station and Metrotown Station due to the reduced service, until the problem can be addressed.

The public transit authority says delays can be 20 minutes, if not more.

A bus bridge shuttle is also operational as an alternate option connecting Columbia Station and Metrotown Station, and it makes stops at all stations in between.

There is no estimated time for when the issue will be resolved. The Millennium Line is not affected.

The disruptions began shortly after 8 am this morning.
