SkyTrain Expo Line resumes full service 3 hours after track issue reported

After TransLink warned SkyTrain passengers just before 8 am this morning to expect big delays because of a track issue, the company announced just after 11 am that the issue had been resolved.

The track issue meant that no Expo Line trains were moving between Waterfront Station and Burrard Station in either direction, and a bus bridge had been set up between Burrard Station and Stadium-Chinatown Station to assist passengers.

Just after 11 am, TransLink said that the track issue had been resolved, and “regular service is resuming.”

However, she advised that customers should still expect some gaps in service, as the system is brought back up to full capacity.
