A search is underway after six people went missing when a charter boat sank off the coast of Richmond on Sunday morning.
RCMP says that 10 people were aboard the vessel when it started to take on water near Roberts Bank at around 11:45 a.m. on Sunday.
Another civilian vessel reported the incident, and a marine search and rescue operation was launched by the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre Victoria (JRCCV).
According to Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue, JRCCV wound down its rescue efforts on Sunday at around 9 p.m.

Search efforts included vessels and aircraft, including two RCMP boats and helicopters (including a Black Hawk) assisting.
“In total, four people have been taken to hospital for medical treatment. Six people remain missing. The search for them remains ongoing,” BC RCMP said yesterday before JRCCV suspended efforts.
No cause is known, and the circumstances surrounding the Richmond boat incident are under investigation.
Kamscan, a Kamloops scanner, called the rescue efforts extensive and said that of the four people who were recovered, three had no life jackets. Some folks who were in the area have been sharing videos of search and rescue efforts online.
Daily Hive has contacted BC RCMP and JRCCV for the latest, and whether search and rescue efforts will be resumed.
