Mt. Seymour is giving ladies a chance to hit the slopes for a fantastic price.

Every Monday female skiers and snowboarders can purchase a lift ticket for just $15 between 5 and 10 pm.

It’s part of Mt. Seymour’s annual Shred for the Cause fundraiser and $7.50 from every ticket sold raises money for a local, community-based charity called The Bloom Group.

The Bloom Group has been providing social services to Vancouver’s Downtown East Side for over 50 years, including low-barrier shelters for women and children. Last year, Mt. Seymour was able to raise a whopping $30,000 for the charity.

“Around 33% of skiers and snowboarders are female and we want to encourage as many women and girls as possible to ski and snowboard,” reads the Mt. Seymour website. “Snowboarding and skiing have been traditionally male-dominated sports and here at Mt. Seymour, we want to equal the odds.”

Lift tickets for men between 5 and 10 pm will be priced slightly higher, at $35.

Drinks and food specials will also be served in the Rock Chute, as well as trivia, games, and prizes and giveaways from Rip Curl, Thirty Two, Dragon, Sandbox, Helly Hansen, Comor Sports, and Specific Boarder.

Shred for the Cause runs from now until Monday, March 25; tickets can be purchased at any downhill ticketing location.
