One man dead after targeted shooting in Surrey on Sunday night

One man is dead following a targeted shooting in Surrey on Sunday night.

According to Surrey RCMP, officers responded to an incident in front of a shopping complex at the corner of 152 Street and Fraser Highway at around 7:40 pm.

Police found a “critically injured man” at the scene. He was attended to by paramedics but succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

IHIT is now engaged in the investigation. The victim is known to police and investigators confirmed this is believed to be a targeted incident.

“While this shooting caused a risk to public safety as it unfolded, there is no indication of any on-going risk in the area,” stated Surrey RCMP.
