Woman sexually assaulted near King George SkyTrain station

Surrey RCMP are looking for a suspect in a disturbing random sexual assault near King George SkyTrain station in Surrey.

Cpl. Elenore Sturko said the woman was walking under the Expo Line tracks around 11 pm on Friday night when the unknown man robbed her personal belongings, pulled her into some nearby bushes, and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect fled the area afterwards, and the woman was able to flag someone down to phone 911. She was taken to the hospital where she received care for her minor injuries.

“Incidents like this are concerning for the police and the community,” said Cpl. Elenore Sturko. “We are sharing this information to encourage healthy vigilance. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Surrey RCMP.”

The suspect as described as white and between 30 and 40 years old. He was wearing a red and blue bandana on his face and all black clothing.

Anyone who witnessed the assault or who may have dashcam footage is asked to call Surrey RCMP at  604-599-0502 or leave a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
