Sephora will celebrate the grand reopening of its Pacific Centre location on Friday, after having been closed for several months.

The mall-based location first opened in 2009 but closed in January for a full-scale renovation.

The company says that the newly renovated retail space includes an additional 1,800 sq ft, resulting in a total of 7,000 sq ft across the entire store. Guests are also told to expect “impressive enhancements and innovations” to the in-store experience.

Some new features include a larger selection of brands and a bigger assortment of beauty products, including makeup, skincare and hair products, and fragrances. There will also be a “Find Your Fragrance” section and adjustments for a faster checkout experience.

A number of health and safety measures should also be expected with the reopening, including hand sanitizers located throughout the store and cleanings every two hours.

Employees at Sephora are supplied face masks and will have their temperature taken before entering and mid-shift. Product testers will not be available at this point in time.

There are currently 78 retail Sephora locations in Canada, 13 of which are in British Columbia.
